Factory-X

While digitalization efforts have been ongoing for over a decade, they have often stalled at the pilot stage due to challenges in scaling data sharing. Factory-X addresses this by building a new data infrastructure that enables secure data sharing without compromising data sovereignty.

This infrastructure ensures interoperability across different sectors such as automotive, factories, and aerospace and supports the monetization of data. The project adopts a use-case-oriented approach, with eleven defined use cases, to develop, validate, and communicate business applications across Europe and globally. This initiative represents a significant step towards achieving digitalization at scale, enabling companies to collaborate across their entire supply network and drive innovation in the manufacturing sector.
