CONSORTIUM

The Consortia aims to build an open and collaborative digital ecosystem for factory outfitters and operators, based on Catena-X and Platform Industry 4.0 concepts. The initiative focuses on 11 dedicated use cases that aim to extend the existing horizontal supply chain-oriented use cases while adding vertical use cases to integrate shop floor operations. Furhermore, The Factory-X initiative develops a digital ecosystem with existing standards, ensuring cross-manufacturer data consistency for engineering and monitoring. It supports sustainability through CO2 management, energy efficiency, and circular economy solutions.

The initiative also offers digital tools for „as a Service“ models and enhances traceability across the supply chain, while enabling efficient update and change management for field devices.This effort is part of a broader Manufacturing-X initiative that includes wide coordination and the establishment of an international Manufacturing-X network.
